Evidence-Based Care for Students
Doctoral candidate in School Psychology, specializing in research on school-based mental health prevention and intervention for children and adolescents.

Meet Ishan Vengurlekar
I am a School Psychology doctoral candidate interested in finding ways schools can better promote the mental health of ethnic-racial minority students. I am also interested in revamping school-based intervention services to be more cost-efficient, feasible, and effective. Soon, I will begin my internship at the Munroe Meyer Institute - University of Nebraska Medical Center, where I will be specializing in the provision of and scholarship on school mental health.
My work centers on prevention programming, evidence-based interventions, research mentorship, and dissemination science to ensure school mental health services are accessible and effective.
